TIAGO DA BERNARDA

Tiago da Bernarda is an illustrator and teacher based in Lisbon. Best known for his webcomic, “O Gato Mariano”, a strip about an anthropomorphic cat that tackles issues regarding the cultural scene in Portugal, his work in comics has contributed for a wider understanding on the mechanisms of writing about music. Most of his earlier work has been compiled in the book “O Gato Mariano: Críticas Felinas (2014-2018)”, released in 2019 by Chili Com Carne. Since then, he has collaborated with several movie and music festivals including IndieLisboa, MoteLX, OUT.FEST, Milhões de Festa, Zigurfest, and Black Bass. He currently self-publishes his work in zines and every so often you might spot him either selling on local fairs, DJing or hosting workshops.
